Lesson horses are available for partial lease after a student is able to tack up, walk, trot and steer on their own and with instructors approval. Partial lease option 4 includes one private lesson and one group lesson per week and one scheduled free ride per week. Free Ride days are prescheduled so as not to double book the horses. Free ride days, the student is responsible for grooming, tacking, warming up, etc before the ride. Then they are responsible for cooling down, untacking, grooming and putting the horses away. Lease options are perfect for someone considering horse ownership in the future or for someone wanting a little extra practice time on stuff that we’ve worked on during lessons. Leasee’s are encouraged to be present for farrier visits, scheduled worming, vaccinations, and vet appointments. They are also encouraged to get more involved around the barn and to clean stalls, water buckets, and to help feed mornings or evenings.
